Outdoor Area

The nursery is fortunate to have a access to a range of outdoors spaces and equipment that complements our room structure and curriculum including a fantastic and secure outdoor play area with a safety surface. This offers enriched learning opportunities and promotes wellbeing and physical development.

Children are provided with all in one waterproof suits and wellingtons which means that they can access the outdoor area whatever the weather.

We want all children to feel safe and happy in an environment that is welcoming and stimulating. We believe that parents/carers are the child’s first and most important educators. Therefore, we want to ensure that a strong partnership between home and nursery is developed and maintained.

To help build strong links between home and nursery, we believe it is important that a settling-in period is established before your child starts nursery. Your child will be allocated with a key person whose role is it to support your child’s development and act as the key point of contact with yourself.

The settling-in period will enable you to meet your child’s key-person and share relevant information. Several settling-in sessions will be arranged. We advise you to attend at least 2 of these sessions before your child is left on their own. You are welcome to bring a comforter for your child so they feel secure.
